PHILIPP WALSDORF SHOWING A GREAT PERFORMANCE IN WACKERSDORF - AND HAVING A LOT FO BAD LUCK IN THE END

Prokart raceland was from June, 17 to 18 2017 the place where the AC Rübenach organized the second race of the ADAC Kart Masters. Since the track in Hahn was not ready to do the event there the organizing team chose Wackersdorf to be the right location.Together with Kartsicherung Sachsen they managed to organize a very professionell event where the 71 competitors found a great platform to show their perfomance.
Free practice on Friday went positiv as usual for Philipp Walsdorf, all apdjustments on the race kart could be done as planned. Saturday as well should become a great day for Philipp. After the very good third place in qualifying he could reach a second and a fourth place in the heats. For the first race on Sunday this meant start position 2.
The start of the first race went as planned, he lost only one position which is very good in Wackersdorf starting from the bad left lane. During the first laps Philipp had to leave the ideal line for a few times which made him loose preformance, so he had to let pass one or the other driver. But he could pass most of them again and found himself on rank 4 when when he was forced to leave the track by another driver in lap 3 which threw him back on position 27. After that he again showed his lionheart and fought himself back into the race and ended it on position 17.That was the psosition form where he had to start the second race.With a lot of concentration and step by step he went forward, passing one driver after the other until he faced the chance to reach position 7 when another competitor kicked him off the track in a very senseless action just in the lap before finish. For both drivers the race ended with this action and both found themselves with empty hand at the border of the track. So a weekend of hard work ended without reward.
HTP Kart Team once again provided very fast and professional prepared karts which may be seen by the fact that Jan Philipp Springob, the tema mate of Philipp Walsdorf won the race and Philipp Walsdorf showed the same laptimes as Jan Philipp Springob. Philipp Walsdorf would have deserved to be at the top as well as his teammate. Next time we will see him together with HTP Kart Team in Kerpen in July at the third race of ADAC Kart Masters.
