HOT RACE ON ERFTLANDRING - PHILIPP WALSDORF MISSES PODIUM BY INCHES

On the famous track of the Kerpen Erftlandring the DEKM was visited by some prominents. Porsche factory driver Sven Mueller and Autobild editor Martin Westerhoff took part in the VIP-Karts of the DEKM. Both competed well and raced between the young wild drivers.
Saturday did not really work out for Philipp Walsdorf. After starting from position twelve he lost two position and finished fourteenth in the first race, improved onto eighth position in the second race and ended the third race tenth. Not what he expected and so he would try to do better on Sunday.
Qualifying was better this time but not optimal. From position ten he improved by two positions during the first race. In the second race of the day he showed up his talent once more and was on position three when the last lap began, returned on position four and just missed the podium. Somebody had pushed him from behind so he lost one position during this final lap. The final race on Sunday he finished fifth.
See you next time in Genk.
