NIGHT CAR SLALOM MSG TEMPLIN GERMANY 2016

PHILIPP WALSDORF QUALIFIES FOR GERMAN FINALS

On September 23 and 24 MSG Eberswalde invited to share the traditional car slalom at night in Templin. On Friday a race of the Berlin-Brandenburg clubslalom championship took place using floodlight and a second one on early Saturday morning. With these two races the clubslalom championship as well as the Autoslalom Youngster Cup Berlin-Brandenburg finished for this year.

Besides the darkness Friday night brought some changing weather conditions as well, which became a big challenge to the youngsters. Being divided into the several groups of the clubslalom race the time between the start of the competitors was quite long, so the changing conditions lead to big differences for them. Having dry conditions during the first part of the race the rain coming up gave slippery conditions to the following. The third group saw better conditions on a track which got drier again, which could be seen clearly in the results. Philipp started in the second group and missed the top three by finishing fourth.

On Saturday the track was dry during the entire race, so everyone had the same conditions. Philipp Walsdorf showed again that he is able to go fast and finished second, qualifying for the German finals in Hockenheim in the end of October 2016.
