YOUNGSTER CAR SLALOM CUP GROSS-DÖLLN 2016

On September, four ADAC Autoslalom Youngster Cup Berlin-Brandenburg went on in Groß-Dölln. While right in the neighborhood the new installed so called Dölln 500 took place, an event with two races of the Berlin-Brandenburg kart slalom championship, the car slalom yougsters met to conquer the pylons parcours for fourth time this year. During lunch break the young kart drivers could get in touch with their potential race equipment of the future and take place on the co-driver`s seat to have one or the other round on the track. The weather was good during the race of the car youngsters. Parent and children of the karting crew delivered food coming from a grill. A nice package after all.

Regarding the sports activities of Philipp it was a nice day. Being one of the newcomers in car slalom he set two solid races without penalties. In the end he scored well reaching a third position in the first race and a second in the second race.

Early in the morning Philipp Walsdorf took the opportunity and started as guest driver in his old discipline, kart slalom. Despite not having practiced kart slalom for a long time he managed to finish the first stint in a good position. Unfortunately the second stint could not be started because it started to rain so intensely that it was not safe enough for the drivers. The idea to organize the two disciplines of kart and car slalom in one place at the same time should be used more often, so the kart kids may see where they may go after getting to old for kart slalom. Some more young people continuing their career in motorsport would be nice.
